Kart: another demonstration of the effectiveness of LeCont tyres

In addition to the pleasure of returning to the prestigious WSK Promotion events, OK category drivers and their teams appreciated the quality of LeCont tyres on the Naples International Circuit in Sarno for the second and final round of the WSK Euro Series. Three months have passed since the opening event at Franciacorta and the competitors from different backgrounds produced some very intense races. The performance and consistency of the tyres were praised in southern Italy, contributing to the success of the meeting.

Welcome to the new Sarno track

The partnership between WSK Promotion and the manufacturer LeCont continues to produce positive effects at all levels. At Sarno, the challenges were numerous, starting with that of supplying quality tyres adapted to the characteristics of the new 1,670-metre track, compared with 1,550 in its previous version. Despite the longer track, the lap times only changed by around two and a half seconds, proof that the tyres supplied met the competitors' expectations.

New drivers from the Junior category

The World Championship took place in mid-September, and several drivers from the OK-Junior category were keen to discover OK at the foot of Vesuvius. Their objective was to adapt to 'prime' tyres after having most often driven on 'option' tyres in 2024, and some of them have already shown that they have mastered the grip offered by LeCont tyres, such as Christian Costoya and Niklas Schaufler, ranked P2 and P3 respectively.

Identical tyres from one set to the next

LeCont is always particularly vigilant when manufacturing its products, in order to guarantee consistency during the production phase. The very small differences between the drivers at Sarno bear witness to this. In the Prefinal, for example, the time difference between the fastest times of the top 10 was no more than three tenths. This led to constant duels at all levels of the field in ideal weather conditions.

Victory and title for Scott Lindblom

LeCont congratulates all the drivers who took part in the WSK Euro Series and especially Sweden's Scott Lindblom. Already a winner in Franciacorta, he added another success to his list of achievements and logically won the WSK Euro Series. Pole position was taken by Austrian Niklas Schaufler in 56"595, while the best lap of the Final was set by Spaniard Christian Costoya in 56"402 at an average speed of 106 km/h! This is a new benchmark time at Sarno, faster than those set in KZ2 at the Italian Championship in July.
