Four KR-IAMEs in the OK top 10

Zac Drummond did not disappoint in his first race behind the wheel of a KR-IAME, just one year after his debut in OK. The new Fusion Motorsport driver quickly moved into 3rd place in the final and held on to that position right to the end. Rocco Coronel (VictoryLane), making his OK debut, and Alp Aksoy (Fusion Motorsport) moved up three places to 8th and 9th respectively ahead of Lewis Francis (KR Motorsport). Niklas Schaufler (DPK Racing) and Iacopo Martinese (Cetilar Racing) were very fast throughout the event and started the Final with real hopes of a podium finish, but were disappointed. Iacopo had a collision and Niklas suffered a broken throttle cable.

Noah Baglin's form confirmed in OK-Junior

The unlucky hero of the World Championship, Noah Baglin (Prema Racing) was quick to return to the podium. The 12-year-old British driver won two heats and the Super Heat. In the Final, however, it wasn't all plain sailing, as Noah first crashed out of the race, before coming back in 2nd place with a strong pace. In his first race at this level in Italy, Luka Scelles performed very well with his KR-IAME from the VictoryLane team: P2 in the super heat and P4 in the Final. Dean Hoogendoorn (KR Motorsport), who finished 6th, was brilliant at this event. Congratulations also to Mariano Lopez (Fusion Motorsport) for his pole position.

Significant victory in OK-N

Team Driver Racing Kart excels in OK-N and the opening round of the WSK Final Cup at South Garda Karting provided further proof of this. After starting 4th, Nicolas Marchesi overtook his main rivals, before giving himself a convincing solo run to the finish. Although less familiar with WSK Promotion events, the TAM Racing team shone, contributing to Enzo Chaffard's comeback in 5th position.

Podium in Mini Group 3

The KR chassis remains a benchmark in Mini 60s, and Blazej Kostrzewa confirmed this in the Final, where he made a sensational recovery from 15th to 3rd place. Starting in P2 and P3 respectively, Antoine Venant (Kidix) and Daniel Miron Lorente (Team Driver Racing Kart) had to contend with a number of hazards which prevented them from fighting for the podium.

"With almost 400 participants at this time of the season, this new WSK Promotion event was a great success. Of course, this limits the amount of time each driver can spend out on the track, but Kart Republic has taken advantage of this to take away a lot of positives. Noah Baglin had the performance to win in OK-Junior. Although the way the Final unfolded didn't make his task any easier, he ended up coming 2nd. Iacopo Martinese and Nicklas Schaufler made a successful transition from OK-Junior to OK, racing to the front in the Final. I'd like to congratulate Zak Drummond and the Fusion Motorsport team on their podium finish, as well as the Driver Racing Kart team, winners in OK-N with Nicolas Marchesi and in Mini 60 with Blazej Kostrzewa. And in KZ2, Dmitry Matveev continues to make progress. He finished with a bang, setting the second fastest lap of the race in the final and returning to the top 10, before dropping back because of the spoiler. We're ready to go for more wins and titles in ten days' time at Cremona."

At the end of the 2017 season Dino Chiesa officially presented the new Kart Republic entity and its characteristic logo. The yellow, orange and red colours reflect the colours of the Serenissima Republic which, from 697 to 1797, marked the history of the Padua region, home of the KR brand. Over the years, the Kart Republic factory has continued to develop, launching the Alonso Kart brand in 2020 and relaunching the famous DAP name in early 2023. The various activities of the Italian company are now grouped under the "KR Global Motorsport Company". The head of the company, Dino Chiesa, is one of the most influential figures in the world of karting. The Italian engineer is also one of the best talent scouts in the world of karting. He has helped the rise of drivers such as Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton and Nyck De Vries. Many Formula 1 team academies trust him, including those of Mercedes, Red Bull, Alpine and Sauber. The famous Prema Racing team has just announced its entry to the world of karting, in partnership with Kart Republic.
