Kart: successful start to the 2026 season for LeCont
Reportagem: LeCont Srl

LeCont has just begun its seventh consecutive year of partnership with WSK Promotion. This continuity confirms the competitiveness of the Italian factory's products and the mutual trust with this major international karting player, which recorded more than 300 entries at the World Circuit La Conca during the first of five rounds of the WSK Super Master Series.

OK and KZ2 categories equipped by LeCont

As in 2025, the Rovereto-based manufacturer supplied tyres to numerous drivers in the OK and KZ2 categories. Nothing was easy with the frequent changes in weather conditions at the end of January, forcing competitors to use either slicks or rain tyres. It was necessary to guarantee perfect logistics and quality service to all drivers and teams. As was already the case during the collective tests organised a week earlier, the various participants in the La Conca paddock were able to enjoy the support provided by the LeCont staff on site to facilitate their work.

Performance that continues to impress

The CIK-FIA-approved LeCont LPM "Prime" tyres fulfilled their mission in southern Italy. In 2025, in KZ2, Max Orlov returned from Muro Leccese with the fastest time of the event in 46.354. Twelve months later, the same driver managed to go even faster, clocking 46.103 in the Prefinal. It was Orlov who won the Final ahead of his team-mates Jayden Thien and Dion Van Werven, while also taking the lead in the series. Kimi Tani, who set the fastest lap of the Final, came very close to beating Orlov's record with a time of 46.138! Performance and consistency were the order of the day, which bodes very well as LeCont has been designated the exclusive supplier for the KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters categories by FIA Karting in 2026.

Victory for Krutogolov and fastest lap for Anagnostiadis in OK

At the La Conca circuit, drivers and teams constantly sought to optimise the performance of their karts to adapt to the changing and rather cold track. Conditions were slightly better on Sunday compared to the previous two days. James Anagnostiadis was able to improve on his times in the Prefinal, setting the fastest lap in the category with 46.523. Lev Krutogolov took the top step of the podium, flanked by Zac Drummond (P2) and Jindrich Pesl (P3). Krutogolov is the initial leader of the series.
