Reportagem: Sodi Racing Team

On 1 January 2025, Jean-Philippe Guignet took over the reins of the Sodikart Group's competition division. In this strategic position, Jean-Philippe will be responsible for the international management of the company's racing activities. His mission includes the development of competition products across the entire range, from Mini to KZ categories.

In addition, Jean-Philippe Guignet will play a key role in expanding Sodikart's Racing network in collaboration with the sales teams. He will also provide strategic technical support to Sodikart distributors and partners worldwide.

A former top-level driver, Jean-Philippe has an impressive track record. European ICA Champion in 2001, he has distinguished himself throughout his career, notably with a victory in a European KF1 Championship event in 2008 and a triumph in the 24 Heures Internationales de Karting du Mans in 2017 at the wheel of a Sodikart chassis. After a brilliant career, he used his experience to enhance young talent as a coach and by creating his own team, Trèfle Racing, which has seen the emergence of drivers of international stature such as Esteban Ocon (F1 Driver), Dorian Boccolacci (Porsche Driver) and Lola Lovinfosse (F1 Academy Driver). For several years, he has successfully managed the Sodi Racing Team in OK and OK-Junior.

This appointment is part of the strategic reorganisation of the Sodikart Racing Team, which began in 2024. This restructuring has already borne fruit, with remarkable results such as the FIA Karting Team Championship in KZ, the KZ World Championship, and the KZ2 European Championship with CPB Sport.

Sodikart intends to strengthen support and technical assistance to its distributors and partner teams in order to conquer new market shares. The recent increase in production capacity at the Sodikart factory is part of this ambitious drive.

While continuing its commitment at the highest level in KZ with CPB Sport and other strategic players, Sodikart is entering a new era with Jean-Philippe Guignet, a seasoned and passionate professional, ready to take on this new challenge.
