Lessons from the WSK Super Master Series 2025
Reportagem: KartCom Selection

After five rounds of racing, the WSK Super Master Series has delivered its first lessons and is already outlining the contours of a promising 2025 season. Organised by WSK Promotion, the series attracted no fewer than 562 drivers this year, confirming its key role on the international karting scene.

In the rain, in a lively Final at Viterbo, Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn narrowly won the OK-Junior title. This result moved him up to 2nd place in the IKR (International Karting Ranking). Meanwhile, Britain's Noah Baglin, who put in a solid performance over the five WSK rounds, leads the IKR rankings for all categories combined with 3,346 points.

In KZ2, it was Senna Van Walstijn who won the overall standings, thanks in particular to a fine 2nd place at Viterbo in extreme weather conditions. He is currently 3rd in the IKR rankings. Dries Van Langendonck, winner in OK, is in 4th place.

The Mini Group 3 saw Niccolo Perico win by nine points from Xavier Lazaro, after a close battle. In Mini U10, Josh Bergman and Daniel Pasquali also engaged in a very close duel.

With 114 entries in KZ2 and more than 100 participants in each of the Mini, OK-Junior and OK categories, the series confirmed its appeal. On the manufacturers' side, Sodikart and Birel ART stood out in KZ2. But the most outstanding performance came from Kart Republic, which pulled off a real tour de force by winning five of the six titles at stake: OK, OK-Junior, OK-N Junior, Mini 60 Group 3 and Mini U10. Present through its official team and its numerous satellite teams, the Italian brand scored one success after another throughout the five events. This exceptional start to the season puts Kart Republic in a strong position for the rest of the international competition.

KR's domination doesn't stop there. The entry list for the first round of the FIA Karting European Championship (OK and OK-Junior), which we have just received, reveals some compelling figures: out of 187 drivers entered in the two categories, 97 will be racing on a Kart Republic chassis, i.e. more than half of the field, spread across ten different makes. The KR/IAME combination is the most represented, with 91 entries. In terms of engines, the breakdown is as follows: 111 IAME engines, 65 TM and 11 Vortex.

Statistiques Campillos European Championship

As the drivers continue to compile their eight best results for the IKR rankings, the season enters a new phase. Head for Spain, with next week's launch of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Campillos, for the OK and OK-Junior categories. This event will serve as a dress rehearsal before the first round of the FIA Karting European Championship, which takes place a week later on the same circuit.

The gearbox categories will have to wait until mid-May to begin their European season, at Valencia, also preceded by a preparatory round organised by Champions of the Future.

It remains to be seen whether Kart Republic will be able to extend its series of successes on the continental stage. Given its impact on the Super Master Series, the Italian brand is already the natural favourite for this new campaign.
