Kart: renewed and productive partnership with the WSK Euro Series
Reportagem: LeCont Srl

2026 is another important year for LeCont, active on many fronts across five continents. The launch of a new season of the WSK Euro Series is one of those unmissable events on the international calendar. It kicked off in Viterbo with a large field and will run over three rounds. As supplier to the OK and KZ2 categories, LeCont was once again able to demonstrate the effectiveness of its tyres. In difficult weather conditions, the drivers managed to achieve a high level of performance, both in dry and wet conditions.

LeCont, from Sarno to Viterbo...

Drivers, teams and manufacturers are currently benefiting from an optimised calendar from WSK Promotion, with limited travel. The opening of the renowned Euro Series fitted in perfectly between two rounds of the Super Master Series. Whether in the Naples or Rome regions, LeCont tyres met the demands of the many competitors on the Leopard circuit.

Conditions under control

On several occasions, drivers had to switch between LPM "prime" slick tyres and CIK-FIA-homologated LWR treaded tyres. In both cases, lap times were excellent. Once the races got underway, the OK and KZ2 categories were only able to enjoy a dry track during two Qualifying Heats on Saturday. Despite the low level of grip at this time of year, Max Orlov achieved an excellent 51.591s, very close to his 2025 record of 51.209s when conditions were much better. In OK, the fastest lap of the event went to Bosco Arias in 52.403s.

Firhand and Van Werven win on a wet track

As in the WSK Super Master Series, the drivers also had the opportunity to perform with LeCont tyres developed for wet conditions. Of course, lap times fluctuated depending on the amount of rain that fell during each race on this difficult 1294-metre track.

LeCont congratulates Qarrar Firhand on his victory in OK ahead of Benjamin Manach and Bosco Arias, as well as Dion Van Werven for making the difference in KZ2 against Jenson Graham and Max Orlov.

Further technological and logistical challenges await LeCont in 2026 in WSK, FIA Karting and many other major competitions. The Italian manufacturer intends to meet these challenges with the same commitment to performance, consistency, innovation, safety and service.
