OK-Junior: Di Pietrantonio wins ahead of Green

Two weeks after Daniel Miron Lorente's (Fusion Motorsport) victory at Lonato, Lorenzo Di Pietrantonio confirmed his rise to prominence in OK-Junior. The Italian first secured his second pole position of the season. He started the Final from pole and fought for victory in intense battles. Starting P56 in Qualifying, Will Green staged an incredible comeback to secure a one-two for the KR Motorsport team, notably gaining 16 places in the Final and setting the fastest lap of the race. Speaking of comebacks, Stan Ratajski (KR Motorsport) moved up from 34th to 10th place! In the overall standings, the Italian marque achieved a magnificent group finish with Green in P2, Miron Lorente in P3 and Di Pietrantonio in P5.

OK: McGaughy on the podium, Drummond runner-up

Michael McGaughy (Koski Motorsport) was most often the best performer among the KR-IAME teams at Franciacorta. He ultimately secured a brilliant 3rd place in the Final. Zac Drummond (Fusion Motorsport) needed extra points to secure the runner-up title in this WSK series: mission accomplished! In the Final, Andrea Manni (KR Motorsport) finished just behind the Briton, in 8th place.

Two new top-three finishes in the Minis categories

Well done to Team Driver Racing Kart, who saw Spain's Oliver Weytjens finish 3rd in Mini U10 at Franciacorta, whilst Wynn Godschalk (Kidix Driver Performance) consistently battled in the leading group in Mini 60 Gr.3. In this category, Daniel Ferguson (Team Driver Racing Kart) finished 3rd in the overall standings.

Finally, KR Motorsport fielded Danilo Albanese in Cetilar Racing colours in KZ2. Starting P8 out of 62 in Qualifying, the Italian fought his way up to P3 in Race 1, then P2 in Race 2: ideal for confirming his performance level. Unfortunately, a collision in Race 3 caused him to drop back. He finished 13th in the Final and 6th in the series.

"Once again this year, we have enjoyed considerable success in the 2026 WSK Super Master Series. My congratulations go to all the drivers and teams using our equipment. Quality and competitiveness were in abundance, as was quantity: at Franciacorta, one in four drivers was equipped with a KR chassis, out of a total field of 372 drivers.

Now that we have celebrated our winners, we will focus on the Champions of the Future Euro Series and the FIA Karting events. We'll be using a different fuel and different tyres, switching countries regularly. There will be fewer categories at each round, with more time spent on the track. I'm keen to see how the pecking order shapes up in these competitions. We intend to do everything we can to compete at the front of the field and showcase our performance level."

The head of the company, Dino Chiesa, is one of the most influential figures in the world of karting. The Italian engineer is also one of the best talent scouts in the world of karting. He has helped the rise of drivers such as Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton and Nyck De Vries. Many Formula 1 team academies trust him, including those of Mercedes, Red Bull, Alpine and Sauber. The famous Prema Racing team has just announced its entry to the world of karting, in partnership with Kart Republic.
